Before seeing about audio visual equipments, let us understand the term “audio visual”. Audio visual presentations have taken various forms and are growing with the development in technology.

Media

There are advantages to using audio visual media. These presentations appeal to two of the most-used senses – sight and hearing. Unlike “passive” information media such as purely visual aids or purely auditory channels, this gives emphasis, clarifies and reinforces messages, multiplies the audience’s understanding of the information being presented, and generates more interest.

The latest product in the audio visual media is the launch of LCD monitors. These are being used not only in the advertising sector but also in the corporate IT sector and educational institutions for presentations. Some of the notable features of LCD monitors are it is of less weight, clarity, wall mountable, energy saving and compatibility. Before the advent of LCD monitors, plasma TV and CRT TV were used.

An LCD projector has replaced the age old acetate projector. This can then display any presentation from the CD or external device. Camcorders and Digital cameras helps us to shoot a video which can then be transferred to the personal computer and edited as required.
